Özge Konukçu is a partner heading the finance and projects practice at YAK with a wide range of experience in transactional and advisory work. Her practice concentrates on project finance and development, debt restructuring, refinancing, PPPs, strategic partnerships, private mergers and acquisitions, and privatizations in a wide range of industries including infrastructure, energy, and natural resources, food and beverage, retail.

Ms. Konukcu has a broad experience advising sponsors, borrowers, banks and other financial intuitions at all stages of project development and financing including due diligence, structuring, through documentation, conducting negotiations between all stakeholders including governmental authorities, sponsors financial institutions. She also provides routine advice and assistance to local and international clientele during the implementation of the project after the closing stage on all aspects of the project including dealings with governmental authorities, financial institutions, and contractors. Representing sponsor/project company in BOT projects for world’s largest suspension bridge (in terms of span length) and the underwater tunnel connecting Europe and Asia are among her notable work.

Özge Konukçu’s transactional and corporate work includes advising local and international clientele with particular exposure to private equity houses on private M&A matters, joint ventures, divestitures, and structural corporate matters.

Acting in many land-mark and complex transactions, Ms. Konukcu has a significant level of acquaintance with public authorities, regulatory bodies, financial markets. Having in debt understanding of commercial drives alongside her sound legal knowledge and skills, she is known for her solution-oriented and strategic advice and executing the transactions holistically combining commercial and financial drives with legal framework.
