The Circular on Cargo Transport at Passenger Cabin of Passenger Planes (the “Circular”) dated 29 April 2020 and numbered UOD-2020/2G is published by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation to determine the requirements for carrying cargo at the passenger cabin of passenger planes, both in terms of enabling the transportation of medical materials between the countries and protecting and improving our country’s international cargo market share, for elimination of the adverse impacts of Covid-19 epidemic.
Regarding the cargo transport operations the air transport companies are obliged to prepare risk analyzes on ground and flight operations.
Additionally, status reports regarding the operations carried out and the compliance report regarding the fulfillment of requirements determined under the Circular shall be reported to the General Directorate of Civil Aviation on a monthly basis.
Air transport companies are entitled to carry cargo at the passenger cabin of passenger planes without obtaining any approval of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation; however, provided that the requirements specified in the Circular are met.
The Circular is valid until 31 August 2020.
